We have updated the revenue reports with the current data we have from our sources. This should be considered preliminary data and will probably be updated in a few days time. The reports will be correct from 2010-01-14 and on. Reports from 2010-01-06 to 2010-01-13 will probably fluctuate while we get better data from that time period. As we get more information, we will update you.

Revenue Reports Still Delayed

We find the situation unacceptable but we are still waiting on the data provider to release updated reports. The data is there, but a bug in their system is preventing the reports from being generated on their end. Hopefully this situation will be resolved on Tuesday. We are in constant contact with the data provider to expedite the resolution.

The data provider is having a few issues with reporting starting from 2010-01-07. We don't expect this to be remedied before the end of the weekend. Once Monday rolls around, we'll be sure to get the revenue reports up to date. Sorry for the delay.

Based on much feedback, we've enhance the revenue report view considerably. The revenue report will pull view data from the tracking report (raw) to provide more detailed feedback on performance including eCPM and other factors. The report has more information to look at and also included updates for when ASE Adnet once again goes into the CPS/CPA markets to maximize revenue streams for our publishers. We're looking into ways to make you more money than just CPC so stay tuned.

Revenue Reports Not Finalized For Weekend

There is a delay in reporting for the secondary CPC provider so the data from Friday and Saturday is incomplete. This will be corrected as soon as possible. Once we get the reporting data from the provider, we will update the revenue reports to be current. This is just a notice of why some things may look strange. Reporting delays happen from time to time and we feel it is good to inform the publishers when this happens.

Edit: The data is now current. Sorry for the delay.

CPC from the primary provider has gone back to the normal pre-holiday levels. We hope many publishers cashed in on the higher rates during the holidays!

Circuit City Bankruptcy: Clicks Not Paid

Poster: Aron Schatz
Posted on December 18, 2008 at 1:45:46 PM
To all publishers: I've just been informed that Circuit City is not paying any clicks earned from August to November (when they stopped running shopping data) and as such, the non payment is going down the line.

I'm going to mitigate this as much as I possibly can, but there will be adjustments for some accounts and I'll let individuals know how much of an adjustment there will be (if any). The amount won't be large and there is nothing to worry about.

The Holiday Season Soon

A reminder to all publishers that the holiday season is coming up and should bring a healthy boost in clicks overall. The economic situation for the world still looks grim, so that is probably the best thing to hope for in the coming months. I don't expect economic growth for the USA until 2nd quarter of 2009, at least.

In these times, comparison shopping is the best way to save money on products you need to purchase. Unfortunately, the target demographic of most publishers are ones that are using discretionary spending. That will continue to be down for a bit. Everyone is feeling the pinch.

Total Monetization Of Traffic Soon

This post is related to the post below that updated the front end to provide new revenue sources. I'm pleased to say that the search and testing phase of new revenue sources (IE: paying all traffic) is well under way.

There are a few things to work out with the data providers, but I believe that I can work out any problems that may happen. If everything works out as I expect it will, you can expect a brand new international auction provider (guess which one) to provide CPA payouts on traffic that ASE Adnet wouldn't currently pay for.

While this isn't like the standard CPC that you are used too, it is an additional boost of revenue that otherwise wouldn't be available. In addition to that, this could lower the standards bar for other publishers as well. The new backend system I'm working on can switch between showing data providers and it can switch to a CPA provider if the traffic provided is bad (IE: Non converting clicks) or doesn't provide a good CTR from the normal ads.

I'm currently testing the new ad system on ASE Labs (only the articles section). If you are not from North America, visit ASE Labs and see one of the articles. You'll notice that the ads are completely geotargeted to providing relevancy to your location. Go ahead and click on the ad (if you aren't in North America) to see where it leads.

If you would like to test the new system, just let me know. I can only accept a few light traffic people and be aware that there may be issues (nothing major).

Reminder: Ads Are For Advertisers As Well

Posted on June 21, 2008 at 12:37:49 PM
To all publishers, thank you for using ASE Adnet. Please remember that advertising is available only at the discretion of the companies willing to pay. Please make sure the you are doing your best to have relevant products being shown and to minimize the mistake clicking that some users may do.

As a reminder, the revenue reports that are provided daily are only lightly audited and a full audit will occur at the end of the month. If your conversions are not up to par, you may not get your full revenue. We are aiming for a 1% conversion rate (meaning at least 1 person in every hundred people that clicks buy something). If this conversion rate cannot be done, some publishers might have their revenue credited back to the merchants (they don't want to pay for advertising that isn't working) or the quality score might be lower and will pay less overall.

Remember that we want quality. I believe we are working well together and we just need to continue making efforts to help people make purchases.
